Ours is a school of hope and possibilities These hopes define positive climate in school .Our ambitions have always been  “to promote the widest sense of possibility and greatest hope for integrity in our students’ lives”.

In the CBSE grade 12 examination (2015-16)

Total number of students who appeared for CBSE exams: 239

All 239 students have passed with a school average of 85.4%

100% students have scored more than 60%.

35.15% of students have scored 90% and above.

89.12% of students have scored 75% and above.

21 students secured A1 grade in all five subjects.

35 students secured A1 grade in four out of five subjects.

The top 4 positions across GEMS schools have been bagged by Our Own English High School Sharjah Girls. Rutvi Bhavin Mithani is the UAE Topper in the Commerce stream with 96.6%. She also holds the 2nd position as the overall GEMS Topper.

Sanjana Ganesh is the overall GEMS Topper with 97% in Science.

Pooja Bijukumar and Keerthana Rajeev have secured the third position as overall GEMS toppers with 96.4%

Rahumath Afsana has topped the Humanities stream across GEMS with 95.8%.

She also holds the 4th position as the overall GEMS Topper along with Antria Jenifer, Serah Elizabeth Cherian and Nileena Girish with 95.8%.

In Science: Pooja Bijukumar secured the second position at OOS with 96.4% followed by Antria Jenifer and Serah Elizabeth Cherian with 95.8%.

In Commerce: Keerthana Rajeev secured the second position at OOS with 96.4% followed by Nileena Girish with 95.8%.

In Humanities: Alveera Sheikh and Naveena Shruthi Kandaraj secured the second position at OOS with 95.2% followed by Apoorvaa Mandar Bichu with 94.8%.

Despite a challenging Mathematics paper 27 students have significantly exceeded curriculum expectations with a score of 95%

Sheikha Fatima Bint Mubarak Awards for Excellence

Under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, UAE Minister of Culture, Youth and Knowledge Development, GEMS Education presented the Sheikha Fatima Bint Mubarak Awards for Excellence to 37 exceptional young women from GEMS schools across UAE in a mesmerizing ceremony held on 22 April 2016 at GEMS Modern Academy-Dubai.

Pratisruti Das was declared as the recipient of this prestigious award from our school for the academic year 2015-2016. The Award is presented annually in honour of the mother of the nation H.H. Sheikha Fatima Bint Mubarak for her contributions to the empowerment of the UAE women and support for excellence to exceptional girls across the GEMS Network who exhibit outstanding academic success, commitment to social & environmental responsibility and World Citizenship.

Our student AISHWARYA CHOCKALINGAM from grade 11 G received SPORTS PERSONALITY OF THE YEAR 2016 award in Under 16 Girls category of IAFTTA TABLE TENNIS TOURNAMENT 2016-17


Previous editions of CIFF, witnessed more than 115 films made by young people and 30 of these were screened on the big screens. This year too our school registered a berth in the final 30. It is indeed commendable that 3 of our entries has made it into the top 30 of CIFF.

Live & Let Live Directed by NIDHI (Nidhi, Arya, Abhipreeti, Riya - GRADE 7)

GIFT Directed By sreelakshmi, Gopika girish, Sreelekshmi Subash, Sreelakshmi V, Athira Prakash,  Aparna Rajeev, Anagha Rajesh grade 7 & 8 currently in  8 & 9.

It is to be noted that amateur teams from our school are pitted against so many international schools offering these subjects, with abundant resources at their disposal.

As we continue venturing into unchartered waters, I congratulate all the girls for their achievement and also thank them for responding to challenges with optimism and open minds. I am indeed proud that our girls are confident in their own identities, make ethical decisions and are prepared to apply what they learn, in real world’s complex situations.
