World Book Day - Grade 2
"Books are the plane, and the train, and the road. They are the destination and the journey. They are home." – Anna Quindlen
Reading books is an important activity in our lives as they are our best friends and a good philosopher. Books are our major source of information, entertainment and comfort during the Coronavirus Pandemic led lock-down. Students of Grade 2 celebrated World Book Day on 23rd April, 2020. Teachers started the day by stating a famous quote by Margaret Fuller “Today a reader, tomorrow a leader”. They also reminded that the world remember the famous author William Shakespeare who was born and died on this day. Students followed the D.E.A.R strategy as a reading activity. Students along with their teachers and family members dropped everything and read together. Teachers encouraged all students to read every day and asked them to be a life- long reader.
