Sheeba Suviseshamuthu

Sheeba Suviseshamuthu is a highly accomplished Physical Education professional with over 28 years of experience in the field. A passionate educator and mentor, she specializes in basketball and has played at both the state and national levels. From 1990 to 1996, she represented Tamil Nadu in the state basketball team and was part of the Indian squad that competed in the 1995 Korfball World Cup Championship in New Delhi.

Holding a Master’s degree in Physical Education from the University of Madras and having cleared the UGC Lectureship exam, Ms. Sheeba brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to her role. She joined Our Own English High School, Sharjah, in 2002 as a senior school faculty and has since been instrumental in training and mentoring aspiring basketball players. Under her guidance, numerous students have honed their skills, leading to the development of strong and successful teams. In addition to coaching, she has played a key role in coordinating senior sports events, significantly contributing to the school’s sports program.

Prior to joining the school, Ms. Sheeba served as the Physical Directress at an engineering college in Coimbatore and also worked at an Indian school in Riyadh. Her dedication and commitment to sports education have been widely recognized, earning her the Best Teacher Award in 2014 and the prestigious State Players Award from Coimbatore District in 2024.

With her deep passion for sports and teaching, Ms. Sheeba continues to inspire and nurture young athletes, fostering a culture of excellence and sportsmanship at Our Own English High School, Sharjah.
