Varsha Vimalaadhithan, Ilfa Fathima, and Medha Gautam Sarathy, 9th-grade students from Our Own English High School, Sharjah (Girls) secured the top position in the Junior category at the University of Bradford's COP 28 Sustainability Challenge in Dubai. Their project, Illuminer, focused on measuring light pollution. With over 20 participating teams, the competition aimed to promote environmental awareness and sustainable practices, assessed by experts from UNDP and WWF. Team Lumiere's success underscored the global relevance of their research, expanding their understanding of environmental issues.
