From Promise to Purpose – Prefect Investiture 2026-27 

The Investiture Ceremony for the academic year 2026–2027 at Our Own English High School, Sharjah, was conducted with dignity and grace on 16 April 2026 via a virtual platform. The event marked the formal induction of newly elected student leaders, reflecting the school’s continued commitment to nurturing responsible and value-driven leadership—even in a digital space.

The ceremony commenced with a formal welcome, followed by the symbolic presentation of the four Houses—Jupiter, Mars, Neptune, and Saturn—highlighting their unique colours, mottos, and values, and reinforcing a spirit of unity and healthy competition.

A total of 134 student leaders were appointed across the Prefectorial Board, Student Council, Eco Club, and Ambassadors’ Team. Each was entrusted with the responsibility of guiding and representing the school community in the year ahead.

A key highlight was the oath-taking ceremony led by Principal and CEO, Ms. Asma Gilani. The student leaders pledged with conviction to uphold the values and ethos of the institution. The event was further enriched by the presence of Chief Guest Ms. Julia Berridge, distinguished luxury brand director and founder of The Luxury Collective, who inspired students to lead with confidence, resilience, and purpose.

Student voices added depth to the occasion. Head Girl Shohaima Akhtar emphasized that leadership is shaped by everyday choices, while Student Council President Anam Aslam reflected on responsibility, growth, and teamwork.

The ceremony concluded on a note of pride and anticipation, marking not just the distribution of badges, but the beginning of a meaningful journey defined by service, responsibility, and leadership.
