Synergasia Season 4

A Celebration of Team Spirit, Wellness and Sporting Excellence

Sportsmanship, teamwork, and camaraderie took centre stage as Our Own English High School Sharjah (Girls) hosted Sports Synergasia – Season 4 on 24 January 2026. The vibrant Intra-Cluster Staff Sports Meet brought together educators from six schools of the MG Cluster — OOB, OOW, OOD, OIS, OOL, and OOS—for a day dedicated to physical well-being, collaboration, and the joy of healthy competition.

The event featured an exciting range of sporting events and witnessed the inclusion of Volleyball in the Mixed category this year, adding to the enthusiasm and competitive spirit. The Women’s category comprised six games—Basketball, Badminton, Throwball, Table Tennis, Chess, and Carrom—while the Men & Mixed categories competed across Badminton, Table Tennis, Chess, Carrom, Cricket (Mixed), and Volleyball (Mixed). Each match reflected strategic play, teamwork, and exemplary sportsmanship.

The event commenced with an inspiring Opening Ceremony, graced by the Chief Guest, Mr. Michael Guzder, Executive Vice President, GEMS Education, whose presence added great significance to the occasion. The afternoon later culminated in a lively Prize Distribution Ceremony, where sport-wise winners were felicitated, followed by the announcement of the championship titles.

Our Own English High School Sharjah (Girls) emerged as the Overall Champions in the Women’s category with 70 points, showcasing consistency and teamwork. In the Men & Mixed category, GEMS Our Own Indian School (OIS) secured the championship with 60 points, and also clinched the Overall Championship Trophy with 90 points, marking an outstanding all-round performance.

As the celebrations drew to a close, heartfelt appreciation was extended to the organisers, coordinators, referees, volunteers, and support staff whose dedication ensured the seamless execution of the event. More than just a sports meet, Synergasia Season 4 stood as a powerful reminder that shared experiences beyond classrooms strengthen bonds, nurture well-being, and reinforce a strong sense of community.

Sports Synergasia 2025–26 concluded on a high note, leaving participants with cherished memories and a renewed commitment to teamwork, wellness, and the enduring spirit of sports.
