Digital Fest to Invent the New Tomorrow
Our Own English High School, Sharjah (Girls) hosted INNOTECH 2025 on 16th October, uniting 12 UAE schools under the theme “Good Health and Well-Being.” Guest of Honour Dr. Isha Farha Quraishy, Head of Cloud and AI Solutions at Oracle, and Mr. Baz Nijjar, Vice President of Education Technology and Digital Innovation at GEMS Education, inspired students to innovate for impact. Guided by the Leadership Gemstone Playbook, the challenges reflected family values and the UAE Year of Community, promoting empathy, connection, and well-being.
Students showcased creativity across a wide range of innovation areas, including AI, AR/VR, digital design, filmmaking, web designing, robotics and automation, sustainable tech, mobile apps, data science, game-based learning, social innovation, and smart home solutions—demonstrating creativity, collaboration, and practical problem-solving skills. OOS and GEMS Millennium School, Sharjah, tied in points, and the Rolling Trophy was awarded to GEMS Millennium School.

As part of Common Sense Media’s Digital Citizenship Week (October 20–24), our school celebrated the theme “Kids’ Well-Being in a World of AI” through fun and engaging activities that promoted digital awareness, online safety, and responsible use of AI tools.
